Welcome to Ruby Class. I am Mrs Chambers, and since starting at Rishton Methodist School in 2017, I have taught in Year 1 and Year 2. In addition to my role as class teacher, I am also the lead for Personal, Social, Health Education (PSHE) and the Outdoor Learning Co-ordinator. So, naturally I incorporate these interests into my teaching and encourage others to do so across school as much as possible. We are proud of our fabulous grounds and I feel very privileged to take our children out to use them as often as we can.

I completed my PGCE qualification at the University of Cumbria in 2017 however, before this, I was a Police Officer for 11 years as well as having a background in business and management.

I am a mum to two children, aged 8 and 12 years old, and I am married to James.  Together we spend lots of time on the football pitch, cricket field or swimming.

Around the hectic life of being a mum, I enjoy keeping fit and cycling, going to live concerts and in my spare time, I enjoy reading and shopping…lots!

I hope to enjoy more learning outside of the classroom, and making use of the amazing grounds we have at Rishton Methodist School this coming year.
