Governors
School Governors
The school has an active governing body. Three members are foundation governors appointed by the local Methodist Church, one is appointed by Lancashire County Council, and four are co-opted by the governing body from nominations made by the local community. One staff governor and the headteacher also serve on the governing body.
We also have parent governors, who are elected by the school’s parents. Elections for parent governors take place at the end of a parent governor’s term of office, or as soon as possible following a retirement or resignation. Parents are informed of the election arrangements.
The full governing body meets once each term.
