Foundation Stage – Sapphire

                 

Sapphire class 

Welcome to our class! My name is Mrs Houlker and I have been a teacher at Rishton Methodist School for 20 years and have been a teacher for 26 years. Throughout this time I have taught both Infants and Juniors but now I am currently really enjoying teaching Foundation Stage.

I have a B.Ed honours degree with English as my main subject and I am the English Subject Leader for the school. Additionally, I am the Foundation Stage Leader and I am part of the Senior Management Team.

When I am not teaching I thoroughly enjoy hill walking and cycling. Another of my hobbies is gardening. I have a fantastic full time teaching assistant called Mrs Humphreys and we are excited to start teaching our new class.
