My job as Head Boy is to be a role model for the school and set an example for the younger ones (especially Reception, Year 1 and Year 2). It I also to be trusted to do things and welcome everybody into the school kindly and politely. Being Head Boy is a responsibility and something that I really wanted. I will work hard at this job and make sure that I am a good Head Boy for the school.
I am very proud to have been chosen to become Head Girl for Rishton Methodist primary school. I know it is an important and special job to set a good example. I find it challenging sometimes because I am quite shy but over the last week I have grown in confidence.
I will lead by example and show my respect and care towards my peers and staff at the school. I am a hardworking person and look forward to helping others - I hope I will make them proud.
It’s good and fun being a team captain. It’s hard to remember to get the benches ready for assembly but standing up at the front and hoping to get a good score on team points is really exciting. Even if you don’t think you’re going to win, it doesn’t matter (unless you came 4th for a full year because that would be disappointing!). It’s cool going up in front of everyone and counting all the team point up helps me to get quicker at mental maths.
Being a team captain is fun but you must be mature about it. The duties and responsibilities are counting team points and going up every Friday to see who’s won the most team points. However, there are other duties, like setting the hall up, which is good.
I love being a team captain because you have responsibilities and it’s quite fun – I also love representing my team, even if we don’t win.
Being a team captain is a huge responsibility but I really like it because we go round and collect the team points with each other as a team and it’s really fun. We have jobs to do as we get them – we share out counting the amounts and writing them down.
I like being team captain because you get to count team points, say speeches and set out the hall for assembly. As team captain, I will try to be sensible and honest throughout the year. This year I have a lot of responsibility to carry and some growing up to do and I will try my best to do so. It is an honour to be a team captain and I will try to be the best team captain I can.
