Year 1 – Emerald

 

Emerald Class

 

 

 Welcome to Emerald Class! I am Miss Horman and I have taught in Year 1 since starting at Rishton Methodist in 2020. As well as being Year 1 Class Teacher, I am also Music subject lead and enjoy incorporating my love for music and all things performing arts into my teaching where possible and getting involved in extra curricular activities throughout school. In the last year, I have really enjoyed being able to teach recorders to some of the children in school and look forward to continuing this this year. I completed my PGCE through the University of Cumbria in 2019 and prior to this ran my own dance school teaching boys and girls ballet and tap. Outside of school I enjoy keeping fit, walking my 2 dogs Lexie and Tilly and getting involved in as much dancing and music as I can! I am really looking forward to getting to know my new class this year and working alongside our teaching assistants Mrs Barnes and Mrs Dean.
